The news about Corey Harrison’s fundraiser effort got out when a close friend put out details of his medical bill struggles following his January crash in Mexico. Harrison’s GoFundMe account went public the previous week, showing that the “Pawn Stars’ personality looked to raise $18,000 to offset medical bills numbering up to $100,000.

A few days after the announcement, the account recorded a total of $5,000 in funds. “With his full knowledge and blessing, we’re raising emergency funds to cover more than $100,000 in medical bills and related expenses after a serious motorcycle accident in Tulum, Mexico,” the GFM organizer, Aron Chambers, revealed.

Chamber further described the dire situation, noting how Corey suffered 11 fractured ribs, a punctured lung, a concusson and internal bleeding. “He was rushed to a hospital in Playa del Carmen, where the reality of medical emergencies in Mexico hit hard, costs add up fast, and payment is often required upfront,” the organizer added.

Fans Showed Mixed Reactions

While the TV star’s GoFundMe account has garnered $5000 and counting, the initial response was critical. The news about the fundraiser led some fans to think Corey Harrison was not in a financial crisis following his crash. The development prompted him to share a post on X where he pleaded with fans and reiterated his plight.

Corey mentioned his personal philanthropic effort, noting he had donated to the Children’s Hospital over the years. The reality star also promised to do more of this once he’s able to get back on his feet and work again. “Please, I’m asking nicely. Don’t kick a person when they are already down,’ he pleaded. “Thank you to all the people who have said something kind or have donated. It truly means a lot.”

Back in January, the TV star posted a few pictures from a hospital bed showing himself after his motorcycle accident. While he revealed some details of the incident, the fundraiser’s pitch elaborated on how the crash happened. An 11-minute video showed Corey’s friend, Valentino, narrating how it happened.

The pair was riding together when the motorbike lost control. Valentino recalled how other drivers they passed taunted them for the fall at the crash scene. He described it as a hair-raising scene watching Corey bleed from his mouth, nose, and head.

In his social media announcement, the Las Vegas native revealed how he needed to take some time off to recover. He also noted how the accident occurred a few days before his father, Rick Harrison’s, wedding. Rick had been gearing up to tie the knot with his lover, Angie Polushkin.

The couple walked down the aisle in January 2026 in an intoimate beach side event in Mexico, with about 70 guests. Before the destination wedding, Rick and Polushkin made their union official at the Little White Chapel with an Elvis Presley impersonator officiating.
