Pitbull is Opening a New Restaurant in a Las Vegas Wal-Mart
Pitbull is opening a new restaurant in Las Vegas — and it will be located inside of a Wal-Mart. Here’s why.
Mr. Worldwide will officially be debuting his first restaurant in Las Vegas in Henderson. The Pitbull restaurant will technically be a Miami Grill, and it will be tucked inside of a Wal-Mart location in Henderson, Nevada.
According to an Eater report seen by Vegas News, Miami Grill is a fast-casual Florida eatery established in 1983 in Key West. Like some of the other best lunch restaurants in Las Vegas, it serves up a diverse menu of burgers, chicken wings, cheesesteaks, and gyros.
As far as why Pitbull is involved, the Grammy Award-winning singer and musician became an equity partner of Miami Grill back in 2012. Pitbull said he used to be a regular at the restaurant, and even wrote some of his music sitting in a Miami Grill table.
The Las Vegas Miami Grill will serve a menu similar to its other locations. Options will include slow-roasted beed and lamb from a spit, boneless, crispy, and grilled wings, and Angus steak burgers topped with bacon.
Currently, there are three to five additional Miami Grill locations planned for the Las Vegas Valley area. The first one inside just happened to coincide with a recent Wal-Mart plan to make a $9 billion investment in making “upscale changes” to stores across the country.
So while the eatery won’t have the glitz and glam of the Miami-inspired restaurants at Fontainebleau Las Vegas, it will still bring authentic Florida charm to Vegas.
The new Pitbull restaurant in Las Vegas will officially hold a ribbon-cutting on Friday, Feb. 23 at 10 a.m. The grand opening will kick off at noon on Saturday, Feb. 24 and will run through 4 p.m.
