Usher Got Married to His Longtime Partner After The Super Bowl Halftime Show

Las Vegas is renowned for its local wedding industry, and a big name recently took part. Essentially, Usher got married in Las Vegas after the Super Bowl.

Just hours after headlining the Super Bowl LVIII Halftime Show at Allegiant Stadium, Usher tied the knot with his longtime partner Jenn Goicoechea.

According to a marriage certificate made public on Monday and seen by Billboard, Usher and Goicoechea got hitched on Sunday at Vegas Weddings’ Terrace Gazebo — an outdoor wedding chapel that seats about 30 guests.

The ceremony was officiated by the Rev. Ronald Joseph Polrywka, who is known locally as Ron DeCar. He’s also known to be an Elvis Presley impersonator. As far as witnesses, the couple reportedly tapped Usher’s mother and Usher’s former longtime manager Jonetta Patton.

This is far from the first time that Usher has played in Las Vegas. In fact, the R&B star recently completed a successful residency in the city and is slated to play the Lovers & Friends music festival in Las Vegas later this year.

As far as the Super Bowl Halftime Show itself, Usher blazed through some of its biggest hits in the 15-minute set, which included “Confessions Part II” and “Love In This Club.” Some of the guest stars included Alicia Keys, Will.i.am, Jermaine Dupri, H.E.R., Ludacris, and Lil Jon.

Although they just got married, Usher and Goicoechea have been dating since 2019, and have two young kids — son Sire Castrello Raymond and daughter Sovereign Bo Raymond.

“We can confirm that Usher and Jennifer Goicoechea took the next step in their relationship and did get married on Sunday night in Las Vegas surrounded by close friends and family,” a spokesperson told Billboard. “They both look forward to continuing to raise their children together surrounded by love and thank everyone for the well wishes.”
