AT&T Gives 5G Assist to NBA Summer League
Following its introduction of 5G in parts of Las Vegas last month, AT&T is rolling out plans to showcase the technology during its sponsorship of the MGM Resorts NBA Summer League. Together, AT&T and the NBA will present fans with new and interesting ways to get involved with all the action the event has to offer:
- At select games on July 10-11, AT&T will provide the 5G mmWave spectrum to allow the NBA to stream live video from Samsung devices. The live footage from the devices will be available to use in live coverage of the games on NBA and ESPN platforms and on social media channels.
- Visitors to the Thomas & Mack Center from July 13-14 can experience 5G firsthand. They’ll be able to play the latest PC games in near real-time on a 5G smartphone with a tech demo of GeForce NOW cloud gaming service for Android or experience downloading an entire movie in seconds.
