The 3/8-mile short track will host College Night, where area college students, faculty and staff with a valid ID will gain free admission for themselves, an adult guest and up to two children. This weekend marks the return of the Canada-based North American Big Rig racing, one of the most popular spectacles fans will see at a short track where nearly a dozen semi-trucks with more than 3,000 horsepower battle in tight quarters on the paved oval.

The California-based South West Tour Truck Series also will be back at the LVMS short track for a 30-lap feature that will be part of a jam-packed 16-race night. Fans attending the races can walk on the track, check out the race cars and trucks and get autographs from their favorite drivers during a pre-race autograph session that begins at 6 p.m. Pacific Time.

The big rigs’ 40-lap feature is the night’s longest race, and USLCI Bandoleros, Legends and Thunder Cars, as well as NASCAR Super Stocks and Bombers and skid plate cars will also turn left throughout the course of the evening. The Bombers, Super Stocks and Bandoleros each have two races, and the big rigs will use two eight-lap heats to determine starting order for the main event.

Gates open at 5 p.m., the autograph session runs from 6-6:45 p.m., and racing will begin at approximately 7 p.m. after opening ceremonies. University of Nevada-Las Vegas senior Sarah Shelton will sing the national anthem, and NASCAR Super Stocks driver Johnny Spilotro, a UNLV sophomore, will also participate in opening ceremonies.

One of the most affordable entertainment options in Las Vegas, the Bullring features family friendly concession prices that include $2 hot dogs and Coca-Cola products and $3 Budweiser beer. Spectators can also save money by purchasing tickets in advance by calling the LVMS ticket office at 702.644.4444 or visiting LVMS.com.
