Cabo Wabo Cantina to Host Knockout UFC Viewing Parties from December Through March

inside Miracle Mile Shops at Planet Hollywood will host action-packed UFC viewing parties from January through March. 

The rockin’ restaurant will serve drink specials including $21 buckets of Budweiser and Bud Light. Killer margaritas made with Cabo Wabo Tequila and specialty cocktails made with Sammy’s Beach Bar Rum will also be available. Patrons may catch all the action on multiple high-definition televisions downstairs.

*All of the numbered pay-per-view fights will be available to watch on a 180-inch screen upstairs in the private room with a cover charge.

*UFC 168 Live from Las Vegas: Chris “The All-American” Weidman vs. Anderson “The Spider” Silva – Saturday, Dec. 28
This UFC fight will feature a rematch between middleweight champion, Weidman, who will defend his title against former champion Silva since their last bout in July. The highly anticipated fight will take place at the MGM Grand Garden Arena.

UFC Fight Night 34 from Singapore: Jake “The Juggernaut” Ellenberger vs. Tarec Saffiedine – Friday, Jan. 3
Current welterweight fighter, Saffiedine rides four straight wins and his contender, Ellenberger, was outpointed by Rory Macdonald after a two-fight winning streak. The rivals will go head-to-head at Bayfront Avenue.

UFC Fight Night 35 from Georgia: Luke Rockhold vs. Costa Philippou – Wednesday, Jan. 15
Middleweights Rockhold and Philippou will meet in the Octagon at The Arena at Gwinnet Center in Duluth, Ga. Rockhold is the last Strikeforce middleweight champion and Phillippou last fought in UFC 165, holding a professional record of 12-3-0 with 1 no-contest.

UFC on FOX 10 from Chicago: Benson “Smooth” Henderson vs. Josh “The Punk” Thomson – Saturday, Jan. 25
Former UFC Lightweight champion Henderson will be fighting for the first time since his defeat to Lightweight champion Anthony Pettis. Thomson made a successful return to UFC after moving from Strikeforce. The two contenders will face each other at United Center.

*UFC 169 Live from New Jersey: Dominick Cruz vs. Renan “The Baron” Barao – Saturday, Feb. 1
Bantamweight champion Cruz will return from a two-year injury to compete against betting favorite, Barao, who holds a record of 31-1-1. Cruz has never lost in the 135-pound division. The fight will take place in Newark, N.J.

UFC Fight Night from Jaragua, Santa Catarina: Lyoto “The Dragon” Machida vs. Gegard Mousasi – Saturday, Feb. 15
Machida made his middleweight debut at UFC Fight Night 30 and will fight former Strikeforce 205-pound champ Mousasi, who won his UFC debut in April. The bout will be Mousasi’s return to the middleweight division.

*UFC 170 Live from Las Vegas: Jon “Bones” Jones vs. Glover Teixeira – Saturday, Feb. 22
UFC light heavyweight Jones will put his belt on the line against Teixeira. Jones won the 205-pound title in 2011 and has successfully defended his title six consecutive times, a UFC record. Teixeira boasts a 20-fight win streak, among his 22 career wins are 13 knockouts and six submissions. They will enter the cage at the Mandalay Bay Events Center.

UFC Fight Night from London: Alexander “The Mauler” Gustafsson vs. Jimi “Poster Boy” Manuwa – Saturday, Mar. 8
Undefeated Manuwa will enter the Octagon against Gustafsson, who nearly pulled off an upset against Jon Jones at UFC 165. Manuwa is known as a fearsome striker and this fight is expected to be a big leap for the fighter in his career. Gustafsson is a 33-year-old powerhouse who joined UFC in late 2012 and collected three consecutive victories.
