Celebs to Fetch Money for Animals in Need at Vegas Indoor Skydiving’s Tunnel Jam Celebrity Challenge
Vegas Indoor Skydiving, the first indoor skydiving facility to open its doors in the United States, has announced the Tunnel Jam Celebrity Challenge, as part of its third annual Tunnel Jam competition in benefit of the Nevada Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animal (NSPCA) (Pictured: Mark Shunock – Photo credit: Ira Kuzma – www.IraKuzmaPhotos.com)

Held Friday, Oct. 19 at 3 p.m., local celebrities will have the opportunity to fetch money for animals in need, by throwing a ball through a custom-made hoop, which will be suspended in Vegas Indoor Skydiving’s 22-foot-tall wind tunnel, with the 1,000 horsepower electric motor attached to the propeller from a DC-4 airplane running at full speed.. Each celebrity will have five chances to throw the ball; For every time the ball goes through the hoop, Vegas Indoor Skydiving and Love Hikes will be donating $100 to NSPCA.

Participating celebrities include:

  • Carrot Top – Renowned stand-up comedian and longtime Vegas headliner at Luxor Hotel and Casino
  • Mark Shunock – Vegas Golden Knights in-arena announcer/Founder of Mondays Dark and The Space
  • Chris Kael – Bassist from platinum-selling heavy metal band Five Finger Death Punch
  • Melody Sweets – Singer/entertainer
  • Ricardo Laguna – Professional BMX pro and MTV reality TV star

The third annual Tunnel Jam will be held Friday, Oct. 19, 2018 at 200 Convention Center Drive and will include music, food, raffle prizes and pet adoptions, in benefit of the NSPCA. The day-long festivities will begin at 2 p.m., with the Tunnel Jam Celebrity Challenge taking place at 3 p.m. and the tunnel competition kicking off at 5 p.m. Fifteen bodyflyers from the Vegas Indoor Skydiving staff and beyond will compete for thousands in cash and prizes. Each contestant in the Intermediate and Pro Divisions will take part in a “Best Routine” competition, where their minute-long routine will be judged on a 30-point system, with marks for style, difficulty, and execution. In addition, the Pro Division will take part in a new jam format event, “Trick Jam.”

Entry to Tunnel Jam is free and guests of all ages are welcome. To receive a raffle ticket, guests are asked to donate a needed pet item at the door, including wet dog food, blankets, dog toys and liquid milk INSERT r.
