Henderson Revs Up for the Water Street Car Show September 8-9
Water Street in Henderson will transform into a gathering place for classic cars during the second annual Water Street Car Show. This showcase of classic, custom and muscle cars, as well as trucks, motorcycles, hot rods, and other one-of-a-kind cars, takes place on Saturday, Sept. 8, 10 a.m.-8 p.m., and Sunday, Sept. 9, 10 a.m.-3 p.m. Spectator admission is free.
The Water Street Car Show, which takes place on the Henderson Events Plaza, 200 S. Water St., is hosted by Mutt ‘n Jeff’s.
More than 40 trophies and prizes will be awarded: best in show (first-third place), best special use of a truck, best rat rod, best vintage trailer, best special use, best original, top 50, best American, Mayor’s pick, and crowd pick.
While reveling in nostalgia, the crowd can enjoy other planned attractions including Show & Shine, vintage trailer, social photo contest, and food, beverage and souvenir vendors, and live entertainment provided by event headliners: rockabilly band Mitch Polzak and The Royal Deuces and popular Las Vegas country band Elvis Monroe.
Free family-friendly activities include a rock wall, bungee experience, human hamster balls, mega rally inflatable course for tricycles, double inflatable slide, and bounce houses.
