HERAEA’s Hoops Challenge is a Slam Dunk for Fans

HERAEA at Palms Casino Resort is inviting college basketball fans to represent a competing team for the chance to win prizes throughout the NCAA men’s tournament, with a trip to the 2014 men’s basketball championship weekend as the grand prize. 

Guests can cheer on their favorite team while watching all the tournament action on 30 large TV screens and enjoying classic American food bites from Executive Chef Doug Bell. HERAEA’S original dining concept by The ONE Group offers enticing cuisine, energetic music and state-of-the-art sports viewing in a stylish space, and fans won’t miss any of the action with the “Bet at Your Table” option from Cantor Gaming.

The three week competition launches Sunday, March 17 during the NCAA team selection and includes six rounds of matchups where contestants receive prizes as their teams advance through the tournament to the round of 16, round of eight and round of four games. The grand prize is awarded to the competitor whose team wins the Championship Game played Monday, April 8.

Fans 21 and over are immediately entered into the contest when they follow and tweet @HeraeaLV with the hashtag #HeraeaHoops. Contestants earn one ticket every time they tweet, retweet or have their tweet retweeted using the @HeraeaLV handle and #HeraeaHoops hashtag. Those tickets will then be entered into a bracket drawing to determine the picking order of teams. Contestants can accumulate tickets until 12 p.m. on Sunday, March 17.

Contestants must be present and check in at the Cantor Gaming Desk inside HERAEA on Sunday, March 17by 3:30 p.m. for the 4:30 p.m. bracket drawing. When their ticket is drawn, each person will choose which team they would like to represent in the tournament. Once they’ve chosen their team, they will be given a jersey with their team name on the back. Tickets will continue to be drawn until all 64 teams are represented.

Each contestant, or someone representing them wearing the team jersey, must be present at HERAEA as their team wins to receive prizes.

• Cabana at Palms Pool with a $500 food and beverage credit

Round of Four

• Dinner for four at N9NE Steakhouse and a one-night stay at Palms Casino Resort

Championship

• Trip for two to the 2014 men’s basketball championship weekend in Arlington, Texas including game tickets, flights and accommodations
