Kids 12 and Under Admitted Free at NHRA Nevada Nationals at LVMS on Oct. 28

Nevada Day is a state holiday, celebrated on the last Friday of October each year. It commemorates Nevada’s entry into the Union, in 1864, as the 36th state. This year, there’s a new reason to celebrate Nevada Day: All kids 12 and under will be admitted free to the NHRA Nevada Nationals at The Strip at Las Vegas Motor Speedway on Friday, Oct. 28.

The Oct. 27-30 NHRA Nevada Nationals is the next-to-last stop on the NHRA Full Throttle Drag Racing Series schedule and competition for the four major class championships – Top Fuel Dragster, Funny Car, Pro Stock and Pro Stock Motorcycle – will be fierce. The top names in professional drag racing, including John Force, Tony Schumacher, Brandon Bernstein, Tony Pedregon and Greg Anderson will be in attendance on Halloween weekend as the NHRA celebrates its 60th anniversary.

Drag racing legends Don “The Snake” Prudhomme and Tom “The Mongoose” McEwen will serve as grand marshals for the event.
The most recent NHRA Full Throttle Drag Racing Series winners at The Strip at LVMS include Antron Brown (Top Fuel Dragster), Robert Hight (Funny Car) and Mike Edwards (Pro Stock) at the April 17 NHRA SummitRacing.com Nationals.

Tickets for the Oct. 27-30 NHRA Nevada Nationals – including reserved seats and the Club Nitro fan experience – may be purchased by calling LVMS at (702) 644-4444 or online at www.LVMS.com. Follow LVMS on Facebook and Twitter.
