The Las Vegas Locos have partnered with ESPN Radio 1100 KWWN ‘The Sports Leader’ in Las Vegas to broadcast their home and away games live when the 2010 United Football League kicks off.

Play-by-play announcer MITCH MOSS will be joined in the booth by color analyst DOUG MARSH and live coverage of the defending UFL-champion Locos will switch to Fox Sports Radio 920 KBAD if conflicts arise due to UNLV football or MLB playoffs.

“We are extremely excited to be joining forces with a great organization like ESPN 1100 and look forward to a long partnership,” said Locos Director of Business Management LOU ROSENBERG. “Locos fans have shown they have a great passion for the team and can now listen to all our games whether the team is on the road or at Sam Boyd Stadium if they are not able to come to the game.”

ESPN will also broadcast the Jim Fassel Show from the Orleans Casino, during the season, while quarterback TIM RATTAY will take part in ESPN Radio 1100’s 24-hour Caring Place promotion on Friday, July 30 when he will host an hour-long show from 7pm to 8pm.

The Locos partnership with ESPN was announced on Thursday, July 15 by Locos head coach JIM FASSEL and tight end ADAM BERGEN during the station’s live remote from the NBA Summer League at the Cox Pavilion. The show also featured call-ins from Hartford Colonials head coach CHRIS PALMER and UFL Commissioner MICHAEL HUYGHUE.

“I have just moved to live in Las Vegas and become a part of the local community and already my dial is tuned to ESPN Radio 1100 for sports news,” said Coach Fassel. “I am very pleased that we have formed this partnership with ESPN Radio 1100, and I look forward to them broadcasting what we believe will be another successful season for the Locos and our fans.”

Future Locos play-by-play announcer and ESPN Program Director Mitch Moss said: “We are excited to be a part of a team and a league that is growing steadily and is establishing high-quality professional football in Las Vegas. We are now the radio home of the defending UFL champions and hope that we will be celebrating a second title coming back to the city at the end of the 2010 season.”
