“We are happy to announce that for our first show on The Vegas Take we will feature a personal appearance by Robin Leach,” said Mike. “Robin will talk sports, the latest news in entertainment and promises to give dating advice to us guys.”

Leach, who began his journalism career decades ago in his native England, first made a name for himself in print, writing for Britain’s Daily Mail and The Daily News in New York City. He helped in the launch of People magazine, writing the first 11 cover stories, then going on to become show business editor for Rupert Murdoch’s The Star. He transitioned to TV as the first showbiz reporter for CNN, shot the pilot of “Entertainment Tonight” and was its global roving senior correspondent for three years before starting his signature show “Lifestyles of the Rich and Famous.” 

Leach recently announced that he will be joining the Las Vegas Review-journal to expand their focus on Celebrity and Entertainment News.

The The Vegas Take will kick off on July 9th and will air 2-4:00pm Saturdays on CBS Sports Radio 1140 and 107.5-3 FM HD3.

Hammer and Shapiro previously hosted radio shows together on Fox Sports Radio. Their shows have focused on sports and entertainment and they will continue the same format on CBS Sports Radio.

Shapiro has hosted radio shows for several years and has landed interviews with top celebrities including Oscar De La Hoya, Bill Maher, Robert De Niro and Floyd Mayweather, Jr.

Hammer, the star of Mike Hammer Comedy and Magic Show at Four Queens hotel for over 5 years, has earned a 5-star rating on TripAdvisor. He has been a special guest on many popular Las Vegas shows, as well as a co-host on numerous radio and TV shows.

The Vegas Take will feature sports and entertainment news and interviews with national and local celebrities.
