National Indoor Championship to be Held at Las Vegas Sports Park, April 16-19

Las Vegas Indoor Soccer is slated to host the USA Indoor Nationals, Thursday, April 16 to Sunday, April 19. Over 50 teams from across the nation will be competing in four adult divisions: Men’s Open, Women’s Open, Men’s Over 30 and Co-ed. Las Vegas will be represented in each of these divisions with the Las Vegas Knight’s playing in the Men’s Open.

In 1994, The National Indoor Championship was founded, creating an annual event that brings together the best amateur and semi-professional indoor soccer players to battle for the right to be crowned tournament champions. Teams like the fact that they get to diversify play beyond their local facility and increase practice time in an effort

to qualify through a regional tournament and advance to the National Finals.

“We are delighted to bring this event to Las Vegas and help, in a small way, to stimulate our economy during this four day tournament,” said Meir Cohen, Las Vegas Indoor Soccer general manager and owner of the Las Vegas Knights. “This, combined with showcasing the entertainment capital of the world to teams from across the nation, makes for an exciting event!”

The tournament runs from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily with the Men’s Open on Thursday, Women’s Open, Co-ed and Men’s Over 30 games taking place Friday and Saturday and the finals on Sunday, concluding about 12 p.m. Tournament viewing is open to the public and is complimentary.
