The new NFR Social Arena is a free service and will provide exclusive content and features during the lead up to the Wrangler NFR, which runs Thursday, Dec. 4 – 13 at the Thomas & Mack Center in Las Vegas.

Rodeo fans can access the new site at www.NFRSocialArena.com and register to begin accruing points based on social media activation and participation in Wrangler NFR promotions and activities. This platform will then reward fans for reaching the most points during specified periods of time.

The fan that accrues the most points by Wednesday, Dec. 3 at 11:59 p.m. (PT) will win a commemorative 30th anniversary spur set. The fan that accrues the most points by the end of the Wrangler NFR on Saturday, Dec. 13 at 11:59 p.m. (PT) will win a pair of Wrangler NFR tickets for the first three performances of 2015.

Additional content includes Cowboy Ringtones from actual Wrangler NFR contestants that can be downloaded for free, as well as a feature entitled Be Boyd, named after legendary rodeo announcer Boyd Polhamus. This unique program, starting Nov. 1, allows rodeo fans to record their own play-by-play call of actual Wrangler NFR action and share with friends and family.

Another new feature – Pick 7 – will allow rodeo fans either online or at Cowboy FanFest to pick the seven event winners each night of the Wrangler NFR. The lucky fan that picks the most correct winners will receive exclusive gift packages from Montana Silversmiths and autographed merchandise.

“The NFR Social Arena is another step in providing a platform to engage rodeo fans during the entire year,” said Pat Christenson, president of Las Vegas Events. “As we prepare to celebrate the 30th anniversary of the Wrangler NFR, we realize the passion of rodeo fans and how much they care about this event. We are always looking for new ways to bring fans closer to the action and provide unique content, and this is another example of our attempt to reach that goal.”

Sold out for 280 consecutive performances, the Wrangler NFR attracts the top 15 contestants in bareback riding, steer wrestling, team roping, saddle bronc riding, tie-down roping, barrel racing, and bull riding as they compete for a share of the $6.375 million purse. Qualification is based on the 2014 Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association World Standings.
