NHL Stars Spotted at the D Casino Hotel in Downtown Las Vegas

To be more specific, Andiamo Italian Steakhouse, nestled inside the D Casino Hotel in Downtown Las Vegas, has become the go-to dining spot for NHL players when they’re in town playing the Vegas Golden Knights.

Within the last two weeks, Andiamo Italian Steakhouse has served as the fuel source for countless hockey players. It all started when Boston Bruins players, Jaroslav Halak, Joakim Nordstrom, Steven Kampfer, and Par Lindholm, were seen dining with former Boston Bruin, Darren Banks (now an Executive Casino Host at the D Casino Hotel). A couple of nights later, Darren Banks also brought in a couple of old hockey friends, Calgary Flames coaches, Martin Gelinas, Ryan Huska, Geoff Ward, Bill Peters, and Brad Treliving.

After dinner, he introduced all of them to casino owner, Derek Stevens, who talked all things hockey and posed for photos at the D’s famous Longbar. The funny thing is, some of the Calgary Flames players (Elias Lindholm, Mikael Backlund, Rasmus Andersson, and Oliver Kylington) were spotted dining and tackling Andiamo’s signature tomahawk steaks on the same night as their coaches. Also joining them was former Swedish hockey player Filip Andreasson.

Once these hockey stars get a taste of the award-winning restaurant, they’re bound to return the next time they return to Sin City. That’s exactly what happened with some players from the Nashville Predators (Calle Jarnkrok, Mattias Ekholm, and Filip Forsberg), who all returned to Andiamo to feed their energy before their Tuesday night game against the Vegas Golden Knights.

The hockey frenzy didn’t stop there! Mark Stone of the Vegas Golden Knights decided to introduce some of his former teammates from the Ottawa Senators (Mark Borowiecki, Colin White, Thomas Chabot, Jean-Gabriel Pageau, Brady Tkachuk) to the Italian Steakhouse, along with some of the Ottawa staff.

Even the young Ottawa rookie, Erik Brannstrom, shared a romantic evening at the restaurant with girlfriend Nellie Kleist.

The D Casino Executive, Richard Wilk, is the common Vegas connection between The Calgary Flames, Nashville Predators, Ottawa Senators, and the Vegas Golden Knights. It seems like together, Darren Banks and Richard Wilk have the entire NHL roster in their contacts when the players are looking for a delicious place to eat in Vegas!
