Pole Position Raceway Announces “Free Teen Saturdays” to Promote Safe Driving
Pole Position Raceway
has announced an upcoming program, “Free Teen Saturday,” presented by Chapman Dodge Chrysler Jeep Ram. The fun and educational program will teach teens about the importance of safe driving, while giving them the opportunity to take laps around the track for free and become comfortable behind the wheel.

“Throughout the years, we’ve seen many teens mature into confident young drivers,” said Brad Mark, CEO of Pole Position Raceway. “We want teens to feel relaxed and in control when they get on the road and we’re thankful for our ‘Free Teen Saturday’ sponsors like Chapman Dodge Chrysler Jeep Ram for recognizing the importance of safe driving.”

Under the Assembly Bill 213, more Nevada teenagers, as young as 14, would be allowed to drive. With so many new, young drivers, it is crucial to provide them the opportunity to get behind the wheel of a vehicle before they hit the highway. When driving on public roads, drivers can be placed in high-pressure situations and this initiative can assist teens in gaining experience behind the wheel.

Zero Teen Fatalities and Driver’s Edge will both have a booth with giveaways including “drunk” goggles, pamphlets and materials on safe driving. Additionally, Nevada Highway Patrol will have a Dodge Charger on-site and will teach teens about how to interact with an officer when on the road.

Noah Gragson, voted NASCAR’s most popular driver last year for the NASCAR Xfinity Racing series, is scheduled to appear on May 11 as the celebrity race coach.

“I started my racing career at Pole Position Raceway when I was 11 years old,” said Noah Gragson, professional stock car racing driver. “Go karting taught me the basics of what it took to be a competitive driver on the track and a safe driver on the roads. Now that I race in the Xfinity Series for JR Motorsports, I still get back in the go karts at Pole Position Raceway to knock the rust off before races.”
