More than 1,000 people registered for this Fight for Air Stair Climb to benefit the American Lung Association in Nevada – the second time in a row the event has officially sold out.

More than $300,000 has been raised so far (and counting) for the American Lung Association in Nevada’s mission of fighting lung disease and promoting lung health.  Fundraising continues through March 24, 2019 online at www.scalethestrat.com.

In addition to climbers of all abilities, firefighters climbed STRAT Tower in full gear – that’s an additional 60+ pounds of gear each firefighter carried up the stairs.   Firefighters and first responders face an increased risk of short term or chronic lung issues due to occupational exposure to gases, chemicals, particulate and other substances.

The fastest firefighter up the tower in full gear was 38 year old Jeff Golden from California with a climb time of 15 minutes and 30 seconds.

Anthem Blue Cross and Blue Shield has been the presenting sponsor for all eleven years of this Fight for Air Climb, and STRAT Hotel, Casino & SkyPod donates staff, services and use of the iconic STRAT Tower every year.
