Special Olympics Nevada to Host ‘Bowl for the Gold’ Fundraiser at Texas Station Gambling Hall & Hotel in Las Vegas
Special Olympics Nevada (SONV) will host the annual Bowl for the Gold fundraiser from 5 to 9 p.m. on Thursday, Aug. 29, at Texas Star Lanes inside Texas Station Gambling Hall & Hotel.
Registration is priced at $40 per person and includes three games, shoe rental and a meal voucher. In addition, each team will be joined by a Special Olympics athlete for competition. Featured athletes will include those that brought home medals at the 2018 Special Olympics USA Games in Seattle and the 2019 World Games in Abu Dhabi.
Bowlers may register as an individual or a team of four people to participate in the event. Bowl for the Gold supports SONV to continue to provide free year-round sports training and competitions, along with education and health programs, to more than 3,000 children and adults with intellectual disabilities across the state.
