The Latest College Football Games

September brought with it the season of cookouts and tailgating when the new college football season kicked off. The transition from summer to autumn started off the regular season. With the season just started, it is hard not to focus on some games that could have impacts on how the championship pans out. The following is a look at some of the best games that will be played out during this fateful month of September.

Ohio State vs. TCU

This mouthwatering clash will go down on Sept. 15 in Arlington, Texas. Ohio State is looking a bit shaky with their coach serving a three-game suspension. The Horned Frogs will look to win against the Buckeyes to position itself for a playoff berth that has eluded them so easily.

Michigan vs Notre Dame

This old rivalry renews for the first time in five years. Both teams have their eyes on a playoff berth and will lock horns in early September. The two teams share a few similarities as both teams are structured on a solid and excellent defense. According to seasoned veterans, the tie may be decided by the quarterbacks. Hopefully, the matchup between Brandon Wimbush and Shea Patterson will live up to the expectations.

Ohio State at Penn State

These two teams are among the few with legitimate national title aspirations. The division title essentially came down to the past two meetings between the Buckeyes and Nittany Lions. They played out a couple of memorable games with Penn State coming out as the victor the last time these two teams met.

USC vs Texas

This showdown will go down on September 15 in what will be considered a rematch of the 2006 Rose Bowl Game. Last season these two teams went to overtime in LA. USC won the tie as Sam Darnold engineered an end-of-regulation drive to negate Texas’ only lead of the game. It promises to be a mouthwatering clash as most of Texas’ impressive defense unit returns. USC will also hope for good results as they will field their young quarterback JT Daniels.

Virginia Tech vs Florida State

This clash will go down in early September. The 2017 season was rather successful for Florida State as they kicked it off against Alabama (Favorites to win the championship). Their hopes were dulled after losing quarterback Deondre Francois to injury. This led to a near-disastrous campaign but the Seminoles’ kept their streak of almost four-decade run of above-.500 finishes intact. On the other side, Virginia Tech has been almost as consistent as Florida State. The team shows off a well-oiled offensive side with a commendable defense unit. If Betting on College Football is your hobby you should know that the winner will be in the pole position of the ACC.

Georgia vs South Carolina

The early-season showdown between Georgia and South Carolina has become an important factor in determining the shape of the SEC East. This season is no different as the Bulldogs squad is pretty much same from last season. It should be noted that this is the same squad that almost won the national championship. The Gamecocks will be looking to build off a surprise second place finish in the division. Hopefully, they will upset the defending SEC champion.

This month promises to be a good one for staunch college football lovers.
