Thousands of Bikers to Celebrate 10th Annual Las Vegas BikeFest Sept. 30 – Oct. 3

More than 30,000 bikers and motorcycle enthusiasts from across the county are expected to cruise into Las Vegas for the tenth annual Las Vegas BikeFest, a national motorcycle and biker rally to be held September 30-October 3, 2010. The action-packed, four-day motorcycle rally delivers an abundance of activities and attractions while drawing the world’s most skilled motorcycle builders for a build-off competition.

Las Vegas BikeFest 2010 offers attendees a variety of entertainment options, including a Custom Bike Show, daily music concerts, and the opportunity to explore Vendor Village, which features more than 250 booths filled with motorcycles, parts, accessories, apparel, and one-of-a-kind bike exhibitions.

“Las Vegas BikeFest’s tenth anniversary will be a celebration of the culture and lifestyle surrounding motorcycling,” says Harry Schwartz, president of Full Throttle Events, one of Las Vegas BikeFest’s partners. “The rally will offer exciting contests and competitions that have become annual traditions and our biggest crowd-pleasers, but also includes new special events including a high-energy poolside anniversary party and a cake-cutting ceremony during Thursday’s welcome party that features Las Vegas Mayor Oscar B. Goodman as our special guest.”

The Las Vegas BikeFest Anniversary Party on Friday at the Sahara Hotel promises to be a birthday bash unlike any other, with free entrance, commemorative anniversary gifts for the first 1,000 attendees, live music, bikini trike races, a wet “wife-beater” T-shirt contest, and affordable food and beer. Legendary artist Branscombe Richmond and the Renegade Posse are scheduled to bring down the house for a night full of dancing.

Returning for its sixth year, Artistry in Iron, Master Builders’ Championship brings 20 of the industry’s most innovative and progressive custom bike builders together for an annual invitation-only, peer-judged competition that will take place Friday and Saturday. Sponsored by American Cycle Magazine, many of today’s hottest master bike builders, including Gard Hollinger, Jim Nasi and Todd Silicato, will have the chance to show off their artistry talents when they unveil their newest designs.

The Custom Bike Show, being held for its second year at the Cashman Center, showcases the nation’s most eye-catching and impressive bikes as guests are extended the opportunity to enter their custom rides for the chance to win $3,000 cash price in the Radical Class, a customized trophy by Rampage Wheels, and invitation for next year’s Artistry in Iron, Master Builders’ Championship.

Additional events include a World’s Strongest Biker Contest, $10,000 Poker Run, Mr. and Miss Las Vegas BikeFest Competitions, Bikini Contest, Wet T-Shirt Contest, as well as two grand-prize motorcycle giveaways, including a 2011 Triumph Speedmaster courtesy of headquarter hotel sponsor, Sahara Hotel.

General admission to Vendor Village at Cashman Center is $15.00 for the entire weekend. For hours and more information, visit www.lasvegasbikefest.com, call 866-BIKEFEST (245-3337), or info@lasvegasbikefest.com.
