More than 30,000 bikers from all over the nation, Canada and abroad are expected to roar into Las Vegas to attend the eleventh annual Las Vegas BikeFest, a national motorcycle and biker rally to be held September 29 – October 2, 2011.  

The four-day rally is one of the nation’s largest exhibitions of biker culture and attracts the world’s most skilled custom motorcycle builders for a build-off competition and an abundance of exciting events.

This year’s affair will offer attendees a variety of must-see annual attractions as well as new entertainment options including live extreme sports, banner concerts, poker runs, more than 250 companies in the Vendor Village featuring the greatest motorcycles, parts, accessories and apparel, and one-of-a-kind bike demonstrations.

“After last year’s 10-year anniversary celebration, we expect Las Vegas BikeFest 2011 to rise to a new level of attendance and energy,” said Mindi Cherry, vice president at ConvExx, the show’s organizing company.  “The rally offers a once-a-year experience for people to immerse themselves into the camaraderie of biker culture with events such as the Miss Las Vegas BikeFest and World’s Strongest Biker competitions.  This year will also include new activities such as an impressive Freestyle Sport Bike Stunt Show and the Limpnickie Lot, a collaboration of custom bike builders whose mission is to band together to promote their unique blend of culture and lifestyle.”

Las Vegas BikeFest2011 Las Vegas BikeFest also marks the eighth annual Artistry in Iron, Master Builders’ Championship, an invitation-only, peer judged competition that will take place on Friday and Saturday. Sponsored byAmerican Cycle Magazine, this year’s championship will highlight the self-expression of 20 of the industry’s most notable and innovative master bike builders, including Danny Schneider, Gard Hollinger, Paul Wideman and the 2010 winner Chris Richardson competing for $10,000 in prize money. The participants will unveil their newest, hottest designs on Friday morning.

Among other highlights, event attendees are invited to enter their bikes in BikeFest’s annual Custom Bike Show, taking place at Cashman Center on Saturday, October 1.  This show will display more than 125 of the nation’s coolest rides.  The winner of the radical class will receive $2,000 in cash plus a custom trophy as well as an automatic invitation for the 2012 Artistry in Iron, Master Builders’ Championship.

Additional show events will include a Harley-Davidson Café Hog Out competition, demo rides, Poker Runs with over $10,000 in prizes, Wet T-shirt and Bikini Contests, Artistry in Iron autograph signing sessions, as well as live music all day on the Village Oasis stage presented by Jagermeister.
