In the main event, world-rated Valdez fired off hard, sharp punches in what he called his “biggest win of my career” in a TKO 5 victory over rugged Chris Avalos of Lancaster, California.

“Everything I did in the gym preparing came out during this fight. We had the perfect game plan. He was rough in there,” said Valdez.

Valdez raised his ring record to 18-0, 15 KOs. Avalos is now 26-4, 19 KOs.

In the opening televised bout the popular super middleweight Jesse “Hard Work” Hart of Philadelphia said he “kept my composure” during a difficult TKO 9 stoppage of Aaron Pryor Jr. of Cincinnati. Jesse, the son of legend Eugene “Cyclone” Hart, said he used “hard shots to the body” to break down and stop Pryor Jr.

Hart is now 18-0. He retained his National American Boxing Association and United States Boxing Association titles. Pryor Jr., the son of the famous champion Aaron Pryor, is now 19-9-1, 12 KOs.
