This year, Miracle Mile Shops sponsored Glen Taylor Elementary in USA Sevens Rugby’s Adopt-A-Country program in which sixteen schools in the Clark County School District were matched with a nation competing in the USA Sevens International Rugby Tournament. The program allowed students from each school to learn more about a nation’s cultures and traditions. Glen Taylor Elementary partnered with the USA Eagles.

USA Sevens is the only North American stop in the series. Fans in attendance witness 16 international rugby teams play 45 matches during a three-day competition in an attempt to gain points in the Sevens World Series standings. The 2012 USA Sevens event broke all previous attendance records in its third year at Sam Boyd Stadium in Las Vegas. Played on the same size field as traditional 15-player rugby, rugby sevens is played with just seven players per team.  Matches have seven minute halves with two minute intervals for pool and knock-out matches. The fast pace and short duration of matches makes every moment of the action thrilling for spectators.
