Wranglers Announce Training Camp Roster and Tryout Players
The Las Vegas Wranglers announced today the team’s 2011-12 pre-season training camp roster. The team is currently comprised of two goaltenders, seven defensemen and 13 forwards, and includes nine players who have previously played for the Wranglers. A training camp roster with player history and information is also attached.

Four players on the Wranglers training camp roster are under tryout contracts. Chris Francis is a local Las Vegas product who appeared in 21 games for the Wranglers in the 2010-11 season. Evan Mladenoff will be entering his first professional season after four years at Sacred Heart University. Kyle Laughlin returns to the ECHL after playing with the Reading Royals and Johnstown Chiefs (now the Greenville Road Warriors) in 2009-10. Brian Cooke played 17 games in the 2010-11 season for the now-defunct Troy Bruins of the All American Hockey League.
On-ice practices at the SoBe Ice Arena are free and open to the public, and media can gain access to the on-ice practices at the Orleans Arena by contacting Rachel Wright, Director of Media and Public Relations, at (702) 471-7825 or rwright@lasvegaswranglers.com. The Wranglers host Opening Night, billed as “The Last Professional Hockey Game on Earth,” on Friday, Oct. 21 at 7:05 p.m. against Ontario Reign. 2011-12 season seat packages, starting at $30, are on sale now at 702-471-PUCK. The Wranglers play all 36 regular season home games at the Orleans Arena, located next to the Orleans Hotel and Casino at 4500 W. Tropicana Ave.
