Fans in attendance are invited to pose and take photos with the Stanley Cup on the Orleans Arena concourse before the game, with doors opening at 6 p.m. The Cup will be available throughout the night as the Wranglers and Bulls drop the puck at 7:05 p.m. Photos and viewings will be free, and in addition to the Stanley Cup, the Wranglers will also be giving out 2012 Western Conference Champions posters to the first 1,000 fans.

The Stanley Cup, named after Lord Stanley of Preston, the Governor-General of Canada who donated the trophy in 1892, has been hockey’s greatest honor since 1893. Every year, the names of the winning players, coaches and front office staff are engraved on the Cup, which has only not been awarded twice – once in 1919 due to a Spanish flu epidemic, and during the National Hockey League lockout in 2004-05.

The Wranglers face the Idaho Steelheads on the road this weekend before returning home to play the Bulls for the first time on Nov. 29.

Celebrating 10 seasons of Wranglers hockey this year, 2012-13 ticket plans are on sale now. Packages start at $93 and can be customized for five, 12 or 22-game plans.
