Just 1:34 into the game, Bakersfield took an early lead as center Joel Broda scored on Wranglers goalie Travis Fullerton. The Condors carried the 1-0 lead into the second, but midway through the period, Wranglers left wing Adam Huxley posted his second goal of the season to tie the game 1-1.

Wranglers forward Matt Tassone opened the third with another early goal – this one 28 seconds in – and gave the home team their first lead of the game. The Condors pulled goalie Chet Pickard late in the game for a man advantage, but Wranglers left wing Adam Hughesman sent the puck sailing for an empty net goal. With a final score of 3-1, the Wranglers took their first of two games against the Condors as Fullerton made a total of 33 saves.

The Wranglers make a quick trip to Bakersfield for a road game against the Condors tomorrow night, and return to Orleans Arena on Sunday, Dec. 8, at 2:05 p.m. The day games marks the return of Teddy Bear Toss, and fans are encouraged to bring new stuffed animals to throw on the ice after the Wranglers’ first goal of the game. The toys will help Sunrise Acres Elementary School students celebrate the holidays.
