Las Vegas Lights FC professional soccer, in cooperation with the Las Vegas Cornhole organization, is hosting a first-of-its-kind cornhole tournament to occur during this Saturday afternoon’s Lights FC home match (Saturday, October 16th) at Cashman Field (2 pm Kick-Off). The first Annual Las Vegas Lights FC Cornhole Tournament is presented by Comprehensive Cancer Centers.

Cornhole, a popular game similar to horseshoes, involves participants throwing corn bags towards wooden boxes.

The competition will feature teams of two people each in a tournament-style format.  All matches will occur along the sidelines of the grass field at Cashman Field.  The tournament will begin during pre-game warm-ups of the Lights FC match and will continue throughout the Lights FC match.

Entry is $80 per team ($40 per person) and includes a free Lights FC match ticket.  Cash prizes will be awarded from 50 percent of the registration fees to the first, second, and third place winners.  Specifically, 1st place will be awarded 50 percent of the prize pool, 2nd place will be awarded 30 percent of the prize pool, and 3rd place will be awarded 20 percent of the prize pool.

“Cornhole, soccer & Saturday afternoon in the fall is a perfect mix of fun!,” says Lights FC Owner & C.E.O. Brett Lashbrook.  “Fans of all ages and skill levels are encouraged to participate in this one-of-a-kind tournament location!”
