A few days ago, extreme adventurer, Skyler Holloway, ran from the Las Vegas sign to the summit of Mt. Charleston (100km/11,000 feet elevation) “because he could” and to inspire others to take on personal challenges during this crazy time.

He’s hoping his crazy 100km run in 15 hours, would inspire people to support the Goodie Two Shoes Foundation. He ran Wednesday at 2am (beginning at the Las Vegas Sign) and finished 15 hours later, 63 miles.

Skyler is a Green Valley High School grad with a Masters in Engineering from Stanford. He worked for Facebook for six years at the highest levels and quit his job to “travel the world and inspire” about a month or two before Covid came crashing down on the world.

This run gave him purpose after his traveling plans were dashed. He’s really personable and quite the character!

Skyler said, Goodie Two Shoes’ mission in the Las Vegas valley aligns with the reason I’m running. With so much negativity and uncertainty today, I hope that by running I can inspire others to seek-out ways to challenge themselves and also help others. Some of the most gratifying moments in life are when you accomplish big tasks, but also when you are able to contribute to those around you. I decided I needed to create my own 100k course and figured I could draw attention to Vegas’ situation while running. Vegas unemployment is at an all-time high of around 30%- the highest rate in the nation. People in Vegas are struggling.”
