VGK Wins Game 5 Against Colorado Avalanche

Mark Stone buried the game-winning goal 50 seconds into overtime to power the Vegas Golden Knights to a 3-2 win against the Colorado Avalanche in Game 5 of their Stanley Cup Playoffs Second Round series on Tuesday night at Ball Arena. Vegas leads the series, 3-2.

HOW IT WENT DOWN
Colorado got on the board late in the first period and built on their lead late in the second. Early in the third Alex Tuch scored his first of the series to bring Vegas to within one. Three minutes later, William Karlsson set up Jonathan Marchessault for the game-tying goal as the Golden Knights climbed out of the 2-0 hole to tie the contest. After just 50 seconds of overtime, Stone snapped the game-winner over the shoulder of Philipp Grubauer to give Vegas the 3-2 win.
