The new venue brings a slice of Las Vegas Strip history back to the area with an authentic 1920s speakeasy vibe. Expect live entertainment, burlesque dancers, and finely crafted cocktails in a swanky — and exclusive — atmosphere.

The new 1923 Live speakeasy is located in the Grand Canal Shoppes at The Venetian. Calling itself “Las Vegas’s hidden gem,” the bar is a bourbon-centric cocktail lounges that might take a bit more effort to find.

More specifically, the 1923 Live bar is a spin-off from the existing 1932 Prohibition bar that’s currently located at Mandalay Bay. Along with a similar mysterious aesthetic, 1923 Live brings ticketed entertainment and shows.

For example, guests will be amazed at “Legerdemain,” a performance by renowned stage producer and magician Jonathan Levit that the Las Vegas Review-Journal calls “show-stopping.” The act happens from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays.

Additionally, 1923 Live will also play host to “The Docksiders—Yacht Rock Experience” by Kevin Sucher. At 8:30 p.m. on the same nights as “Legerdemain,” the tribute band will be playing the best soft rock and yacht rock hits of the 1970s and 1980s.

Hearkening back to the illegal bars of the Prohibition era, speakeasies are a recent trend in Las Vegas. For example, there is a new planned $50 million steakhouse and speakeasy opening in Las Vegas soon.
