A Colorado visitor turned a Las Vegas vacation into a memorable payday after hitting more than $800,000 jackpot in Pai Gow Poker at the newly opened Vanderpump Hotel on the Las Vegas Strip. Caesars Entertainment announced that the lucky guest, identified only as Pam W. of Littleton, Colorado, landed the winning hand on Monday while visiting the property’s casino just weeks after its grand opening.
Vanderpump Hotel Delivers Life-Changing Win in Pai Gow Jackpot

According to Caesars Entertainment, Pam W. was vacationing in Las Vegas with her husband when she hit the progressive Pai Gow Poker jackpot. The winning hand featured a rare seven-card straight flush consisting of the 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, and Queen of Hearts, completed with a joker.
The hand awarded Pam a jackpot totaling $813,553. Caesars said the Colorado visitor is already planning to use part of her winnings for a dream European river cruise after celebrating the unexpected casino victory.
The jackpot marks one of the first major casino wins announced since the debut of The Vanderpump Hotel, the latest collaboration between Caesars Entertainment and television personality and restaurateur Lisa Vanderpump.
The boutique property officially replaced The Cromwell on the corner of Flamingo Road and Las Vegas Boulevard, introducing redesigned guest rooms, signature restaurants and a refreshed casino experience inspired by Vanderpump’s luxury hospitality brand.
The property has quickly attracted visitors looking to experience one of the Strip’s newest destinations, with Pam’s jackpot becoming an early highlight following its opening.
What Made the Pai Gow Poker Jackpot So Rare?

Pai Gow Poker combines traditional poker hands with elements of the ancient Chinese game Pai Gow. Players receive seven cards and must divide them into a five-card high hand and a two-card low hand while attempting to beat the dealer’s corresponding hands.
Progressive jackpots are awarded only when players achieve exceptionally rare card combinations while placing the optional side wager. Among the highest-paying outcomes is a seven-card straight flush, which requires seven consecutive cards of the same suit. Jokers are permitted under specific game rules to complete qualifying hands, making Pam’s winning combination eligible for the top progressive payout.
Because the odds of completing a seven-card straight flush are extremely low, progressive Pai Gow jackpots can climb into the hundreds of thousands of dollars before a winner is crowned. These jackpots have become one of the game’s biggest attractions in Las Vegas casinos, particularly on the Strip, where linked progressive systems continue to grow until someone claims the prize.
Inside the New Vanderpump Hotel on the Las Vegas Strip

The Vanderpump Hotel officially welcomed guests earlier this summer following an extensive transformation of the former Cromwell Hotel. Caesars Entertainment partnered with Lisa Vanderpump to reimagine the boutique resort with elegant interiors, bespoke furnishings, and updated dining and nightlife venues.
The redesign reflects Vanderpump’s signature style, featuring dramatic floral displays, custom lighting, and luxurious décor throughout the hotel. Caesars has described the project as combining upscale hospitality with an intimate boutique atmosphere while maintaining the property’s central Strip location.
Monday’s jackpot adds another headline to the property’s opening weeks, giving the new resort an early success story as visitors continue exploring its redesigned casino floor. For Pam W., what began as a vacation with her husband ended with one of the first major jackpot celebrations at the Vanderpump Hotel.
