Las Vegas Strip Casino Celebrates Double Jackpot Wins Worth Over $3 Million

Two casino guests are heading home significantly richer after hitting a combined $3,000,017 in jackpots during separate gaming sessions on the Las Vegas Strip. Officials at The Venetian Resort Las Vegas announced that the two wins came just days apart, with one guest landing a multimillion-dollar table game progressive and another turning a modest slot wager into a six-figure payday.

The Venetian Resort Las Vegas said Los Angeles resident George Lee scored the larger of the two payouts while playing Ultimate Texas Hold’em on the casino floor. According to the resort, Lee was dealt a spade royal flush, activating the “Mega” tier of the property’s Millionaire Progressive jackpot. Because he had placed the required $5 progressive side bet, Lee collected a life-changing $2,235,550 jackpot.

The Millionaire Progressive is offered across multiple table games at both The Venetian and The Palazzo, allowing eligible players to compete for growing jackpots tied to rare premium poker hands.

Per CDC Gaming, the second jackpot arrived just one week earlier. An anonymous guest was playing Buffalo Diamond Extreme, a slot title developed by Aristocrat Gaming, when an Extreme Wheel bonus triggered the game’s top progressive award. After wagering $35, the player walked away with $764,467.

Ultimate Texas Hold’em consists of traditional Texas Hold’em poker with house-banked casino gameplay. Rather than competing against other players, participants try to build a stronger poker hand than the dealer. Players become eligible for the linked jackpot by placing the additional progressive wager before the cards are dealt.

The jackpot is determined solely by the player’s final poker hand, regardless of whether the dealer wins or loses the main game. A royal flush, consisting of the ace, king, queen, jack, and 10 of the same suit, is the rarest standard poker hand and typically awards the top progressive prize.

Lee’s spade royal flush qualified for the highest “Mega” payout available through the Millionaire Progressive, instantly turning his $5 side bet into more than $2.2 million.

Buffalo Diamond Extreme is one of Aristocrat Gaming’s newest premium slot machines and builds on the popularity of the long-running Buffalo slot franchise. The game features expanded bonus rounds, upgraded reel mechanics, and the Extreme Wheel, a special feature capable of awarding progressive jackpots when activated.

Unlike fixed jackpots, progressive prizes increase over time as qualifying wagers are placed across participating machines. Players trigger bonus features through specific symbol combinations and game mechanics, while larger wagers may qualify them for higher progressive tiers depending on the machine configuration.
