Grand Bazaar Shops Hosts “Battle Cry for Pumpkin Pie” Eating Contest Nov. 22
Few things are as wonderful during the holiday season as delicious pumpkin pies and working together to better the lives of people in need in our shared community. In keeping with this spirit, Grand Bazaar Shops will hold a pre-Thanksgiving pumpkin pie-eating contest to support two great local non profits on Tuesday, Nov. 22 at 12 p.m. (Pictured: LIBBY’s Famous Pumpkin Pie).

Teams representing Catholic Charities of Southern Nevada and Veterans Village Las Vegas will chow down to see who can eat the most pumpkin pie in five minutes for a $3,000 grand prize. The runner up charity will receive a $1,000 donation.

Visitors are invited to the outdoor retail and dining attraction to kickoff the Thanksgiving holiday and watch the tasty and fun competition. The event will be hosted by locally-renowned host, Steph MacKenzie of The Point 97.1. Guests can also participate in fun-filled activities happening around the center, including Thanksgiving-themed complimentary caricature and temporary tattoo artists and photo opportunities with a festive pilgrim and turkey.

Catholic Charities of Southern Nevada and Veterans Village will have outposts at Grand Bazaar Shops’ Grand Allée, near the entrance to the shops off Las Vegas Boulevard from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 22. Guests can visit the outposts to learn more about the respective charities and make a donation in support. Guest’s donation of $10 to either of the organizations will receive a $10 shopping voucher to use at virtually any Grand Bazaar Shops store as a thank you.
