, a Bombay Kitchen and Tapas Bar, is bringing its fresh take on authentic Indian fares to Las Vegas. Scheduled to open by the third weekend in December, Urban Turban has created a unique dining dynamic by fusing authentic Bombay-style cuisine with a modern dining ambiance. 

Urban Turban owners Jasmine and Bhushan Arolkar, along with a professional culinary team from Bombay provide a menu that includes a wide array of flavors unique to Bombay (Mumbai) style cuisine. Menu items include the Bombay bites (tapas style offerings) such as, Lamb Sliders, Masala Cup Corn and Gin Chicken. Also included on the menu are the famous Bottomless Curries and a wide range of Indian west coast seafood delicacies like the Gunpowder Shrimp. Moreover, Urban Turban will offer vegan, vegetarian and gluten-free dishes. Patrons can enjoy local craft beers on tap, well-matched wines and a specialty cocktail menu that includes the Bourbon Turban, Indian Mule and Cobra Kiss just to name a few. The 4,450 square ft. bar and restaurant accommodates group dinners and private parties upon request.

With its success in New Zealand, Urban Turban has led to the expansion of its first location in the United States. The executive chef for the group’s New Zealand concept, Chef Kedar Anthwal, will be in Las Vegas to assist in the opening of the new location. The Urban Turban Las Vegas location’s head chef, Vijay Deokar, has over 15 years of experience working as a chef and manager in kitchens for the Taj Group, Oberoi, Royal Caribbean Cruises and more. Chef Vijay believes in keeping the authenticity of flavors intact and blending it with modern fusion cooking. He is passionate that food needs to not only to look, smell and taste delicious, but it should also heal, soothe and rejuvenate.

“We are excited to introduce our one-of-a-kind take on Bombay cuisine to the Las Vegas culinary industry,” said Urban Turban’s Chief Operating Officer, Bhushan Arolkar. “We hope that our exceptional menu and our extensive wine list will be warmly welcomed by both Las Vegas locals and tourists.”
