Caramella to Bring 1970s Italian Charm to Las Vegas
Caramella, a new restaurant planned for Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino will bring 1970s Italy vibes to the Las Vegas Strip.
The restaurant, which is set to debut this winter, will feature a stylish lounge and on-site candy shop alongside a dining operation serving up classic Italian dishes.
Caramella Las Vegas is only the latest endeavor from Tao Group Hospitality, which is known for some of the best Italian restaurants in Las Vegas. Some of the group’s other projects include Lavo Italian Restaurant and Luchini — located at the Palazzo and the MGM Grand, respectively.
For this latest venture, Tao Restaurant Group is tapping long-time chief culinary officer Ralph Scamardella on a menu that will feature steaks and chops, as well as bowls of pasta and Tuscan-influenced side dishes, according to Eater Vegas.
As far as the vibes you can expect, Caramella Las Vegas will feature a swanky lounge, candy shop, and an overall space designed from the ground up to evoke 1970s Italy — a significant and pivotal time in Italian history.
The restaurant will be located on the mezzanine level of Planet Hollywood in the location formerly housing Koi Restaurant and Lounge. That means it’ll be just steps away from one of the best Las Vegas Malls — Miracle Mile Shops.
There’s no exact word on when Caramella Las Vegas will open, but it’s tentatively set to debut early next year.
