Here’s How You Can Decide What’s on the Las Vegas Sphere

If you ever wanted to decide what gets displayed on the Las Vegas Sphere, you now have the chance to do so.

The Las Vegas Sphere, one of the best entertainment and music venues in Las Vegas, has collaborated with the Clark County School District to invite students to submit works of art based on the theme of Fourth of July.

In total, more than 100,000 students from all around the Las Vegas Valley were invited to submit art, according to the Sphere. Among them, 100 finalists were selected — and now it’s up to you to decide which ones will be displayed for all to see.

The public can vote on the 100 finalist entries and pick one entry per each school category, which includes:

  • Elementary schools
  • Local middle schools
  • Local high schools
  • The University of Nevada, Las Vegas

Winners from the high school and University of Nevada categories will each receive a $10,000 educational scholarship. The middle school and elementary school winners will get a $10,000 donation that will go toward their school’s art program, as well as tickets for their entire school to visit the Las Vegas Sphere later this year.

“It’s just amazing we can bring that community together to celebrate this venue as a whole,” said Sphere spokesperson Jennifer Koester. “The talent and creativity of all of the local students who participated in the Sphere XO Student Design Challenge is remarkable.”

You can view and vote on the student submissions at this link. The voting period will end Wednesday, June 5 at 11:59 p.m.
