Las Vegas Has Two of the Best Casino Hotels in the US
Any list of the best casino hotels in the US is likely to include contenders from Las Vegas, and a new survey indicates that the city indeed has two of the nation’s finest resorts.
USA Today recently ran a reader poll asking respondents to rank the best casino hotels in the country. Interestingly, despite its strong entertainment and hospitality focus, Las Vegas only had two contenders on the list — and one US city actually beat it out for the most hotels represented.
Before we get to results, let’s check USA Today’s methodology. The publication asked readers to choose the top casino hotels in the US by analyzing whether they offered “top-notch gaming and excellent amenities.” From there, a group of travel experts narrowed down the top 20 contenders to a list of 10.
So which Las Vegas casino hotels made it on the list? Caesars Palace took third place, while ARIA Resort & Casino took tenth.
Here’s a full breakdown of the other winners:
- 1 Mohegan Sun, Uncasville, Connecticut
- Yaamava’ Resort & Casino at San Manuel, Highland, California
- Caesars Palace, Las Vegas, Nevada
- Ocean Casino Resort, Atlantic City, New Jersey
- Beau Rivage Resort & Casino, Biloxi, Mississippi
- Borgata Hotel Casino & Spa, Atlantic City, New Jersey
- Mount Airy Casino Resort, Mount Pocono, Pennsylvania
- Resorts Casino Hotel, Atlantic City, New Jersey
- Graton Resort & Casino, Rohnert Park, California
- ARIA Resort & Casino, Las Vegas, Nevada
Interestingly enough, Atlantic City actually had three casino hotels on the list, beating out the number of Las Vegas resorts by one. The rest of the winners were spread out across the country, from Los Angeles to Connecticut.
