Wrestling icon CM Punk still had some Wrestlemania 42 steam in him when he accosted a fan in the lobby of a Strip hotel. In a clip that has now gained vast attention on social media, the combat star could be seen showing disapproval for a wrestling fan by swatting a phone out of their hand and presenting an icy glare. The incident, which happened a few hours after his showdown with fellow star Roman Reigns, had fans siding with the wrestler over the subject of personal space.
CM Punk Felt The Fan Did Not Respect His Personal Space

Punk, who had just gotten off the ring at Wrestlemania 42, was making his way through the hotel lobby with his wife, AJ Lee, when the incident unfolded. In the clip now making rounds, the couple appeared to have been huddling through the MGM Grand Hotel & Casino when a group of fans gathered around them.
The video showed Punk confronting a fan in a baseball hat as a group of people quickly stepped in to quell the situation. Per Talk Sport, Lee has been exchanging hugs with fellow WWE diva, Bayley, when the fan approached them. Just then, Punk, real name Philip Jack Brooks, stepped in and knocked the phone out of his hands, showing his disapproval.
The hotel’s security promptly intervened to prevent further chaos. While Punk appeared to comply, he gave the fan a stare down, leading him to apologise profusely as he hurried off. Before the encounter, the WWE icon went head-to-head with fellow combat star, Roman Reigns, in the main event at WrestleMania 42 at Allegiant Stadium.
Punk had featured in the match, defending his World Heavyweight Championship title, which he ultimately lost.
Other Fans At The Vegas Hotel Lobby Share Their POV
After the Vegas hotel lobby incident spread on social media, other fans who had witnessed the exchange shared their point of view. According to other fans’ accounts, as recounted by Heavy, the issue started before CM Punk approached the fan. They had requested a picture from AJ Lee, who turned them down to avoid being swamped by other fans after a stressful WrestleMania event.
However, the fan did not back down, causing Punk to step in. Per TalkSport, the star wrestler has been vocal about fans not respecting personal space in older times, hence his reaction. WWE lovers showed their support for Punk while stating that the fan was at fault.
There Will Be No Legal Actions

In the wake of the encounter, the Wrestling fan has revealed that they would not be taking legal actions against the wrestler. However, he demanded an apology, stating that he only tried to capture a harmless moment.
It is noteworthy that witnesses at the hotel lobby insisted that the fan had behaved in an intrusive manner. This brings to mind recent reports of how fans have been increasingly harassing performers in the WWE universe.
