Following the opening night of their residency, Zac Brown took to social media to celebrate a successful show while looking forward to what’s to come. In an Instagram post, the country stars proudly showcased their creative, immersive stage setup, featuring larger-than-life structures. The post also revealed what seemed to be a depiction of hell.

The clip opened with a large skeleton bearing what appeared to be a spiky crown. The image immediately morphed into a menacing wraith, then showed the band in what appeared to be a cage made of bones. “NIGHT 1 HAS BEGUN,” the caption read. A separate TikTok post shared more images from the show, with the band expressing gratitude to fans.

However, the reaction across social media platforms showed a different story. Social media users and fans who attended the concert felt the display had a more sinister meaning. “Zac Brown performed a demonic ritual at the sphere. Most of these concerts are energy harvesting rituals,” someone wrote on X.

Many flooded the comment section of Zac Brown’s Instagram post, sharing their opinions. “Zac Brown hasn’t got a single song where they ned ton be doing all that,” someone chimed. What a weird visual for the softest music,” another wrote. More comments rushed in, as netizens shared similar sentiments. Words like “dark and evil,” “demonic,” were used to describe the full-sensory LED display.

However, the other half of the comment section fired back at critics, defending the band’s creativity. Someone retorted, “Everyone commenting negative things wasn’t at the show.” Another fan revealed they were at the performance and described their experience as “incredible.” “Thank you for giving me the best day of my life,” the fan wrote, showing Zac Brown some love.

The Show Must Go On

Despite the uproar and accusations, the band will not be changing production as their residency continues. According to Neon, a representative for the band affirmed that the aesthetics, themes, and narrative structure will remain the same. While the setup caught concert-goers off guard, the lead performer, Zac Brown, previously revealed what they had planned for the Las Vegas show.

During an interview on The Eisen Show, Brown hinted that he would take fans on a journey. “We’re also telling a story. It’ll be the first of its kind in that scenario.” Speaking about their latest album, “Love and Fear,” and Vegas residency, the “Chicken Fried” crooner revealed that the whole concept was about his traumatic childhood.

Brown stated that up until the release of the album, he had not shared “much of what drove” him into music. The Grammy-winning vocalist revealed that living in a “crazy environment” and trying to make sense of it as a kid motivated him to explore music.
