A’ja Wilson has agreed to a three-year, $5 million supermax contract to remain with the Las Vegas Aces. The welcomed development comes as a deal widely reported as the richest and largest in WNBA history.
A’ja Wilson’s Supermax Contract Makes WNBA History

Wilson’s new Superstar A’ja Wilson’s supermax contract comes after a record-setting season that saw her capture multiple accolades and lead the Aces to continued success. According to ESPN, the fully guaranteed three-year deal is worth $5 million, making it the largest contract ever signed in league history.
The publication further gathered that the supermax contract was negotiated by agent Jade-Li English of Klutch Sports Group and finalized in mid-April. The renewed deal will keep the four-time WNBA MVP under contract through the 2028 season.
Wilson’s stature as a four-time WNBA Most Valuable Player makes her one of the league’s most decorated athletes. The news site noted that she is the first player to achieve that distinction, and her continued presence in Las Vegas solidifies the Aces’ championship core.
Speaking on the newly minted contract, Aces president and general manager Nikki Fargas did not hold back her admiration for Wilson. Fragas showered praise on the star athlete while acknowledging her contributions to the team over the years. “A’ja is truly one of one, who has led this franchise to where it is today. Not only has she catapulted into the history books and surpassed almost every record in existence, but she does so with the utmost confidence, authenticity, and grace,” Fragas shared in a statement.
The sports executive also added that she has helped redefine excellence for the franchise. The team also retained key contributors around Wilson, including stars such as Jackie Young, Chelsea Gray, and Jewell Loyd.
Inside Wilson’s Impressive Career Run

Wilson’s impact on the Aces extends far beyond financial milestones. In the 2025 season, she led Las Vegas to its third WNBA championship in four years. During that title run, Wilson posted averages of 23.4 points and 10.2 rebounds, anchoring the team’s offense and defense alike.
Her résumé includes seven All-Star selections, six All-WNBA selections, and multiple Defensive Player of the Year awards, illustrating her elite two-way impact on the court. The Aces’ 2025 championship capped a remarkable run during which Wilson became the first player to earn MVP, Defensive Player of the Year, and Finals MVP in the same season.
Locked In On Her Winning Streak With The Aces

While the Las Vegas Aces displayed how valuable A’ja Wilson is, with the supermax contract, the sports champion shares a similar sentiment about the team. Last week, while attending the USA Basketball national team training, the two-time Olympic gold medalist expressed her love for Vegas.
The Times Athlete of the Year also made it known that she had no intentions of leaving the team. “I love Vegas. I’m not leaving Vegas. I’m looking to win another one. I’m looking to defend a championship that we had in Las Vegas,” she shared. The 29-year-old stated further that she intended to get better at her craft as a player and leader.
