Glitter Gulch Tiki Will Soon Open in Downtown Las Vegas

A new spot for Tiki drinks and culture is set to open soon in downtown Las Vegas. Enter Glitter Gulch Tiki.

Originally slated to open to the public earlier in the year, Eater reports that Glitter Gulch Tiki will officially open to the public on Friday, Oct. 24. It will be located in downtown Las Vegas near the Fremont Street Experience.

On the menu, you’ll find a wide range of Tiki drinks and other tropical-inspired offerings. There will be classic Tiki options, as well as original and signature cocktails that blend the old and new together seamlessly.

  • Mai Hands Tai’D: A new take on a Tiki classic, amde with several types of rum, Orange Curacao, lime juice, and Lilikoi foam.
  • Hurricane Weather: A blend of two types of delicious rum with passionfruit, strawberry, hibiscus, lime, and orange.
  • Fremont Zombie: A scorpion bowl option made with three types of rum, House Don’s Mix, lime juice, grenadine, pernod, and bitters.

Glitter Gulch Tiki will also serve up frozen cocktails, alcohol-free mocktails, wine, locally brewed beer, and dole soft serve. Food options will be light, but will include coconut shrimp and poke nachos served on crispy wonton chips.

Of course, Tiki is just as much about ambiance as it is about tropical drinks, and Glitter Gulch Tiki will have ambiance in spades. The bar has enlisted the help of legendary designer Ben Bassham, who is well-known in Tiki spaces as “Bamboo Ben.”

The interior of Glitter Gulch Tiki will feature custom straw-thatched booths, bamboo bar tops, totem statues, and more. In a nod to its namesake, the bar will also feature glitter embedded in the tables and neon lighting on the ceiling.

After you’re done, you can check out other local spots, such as Substance nightclub. Missing the old Glitter Gulch? Check out the VegasNews guide to the best burlesque shows in Las Vegas.
