Circa Las Vegas Turns Into World Cup Central

Even without a single World Cup match being played in Las Vegas, anyone who has spent time around the valley over the past few weeks knows the city has fully embraced the tournament. From Fremont Street to the Strip, fans from around the world have packed sports bars, casinos, and watch parties, creating an atmosphere that rivals some of the biggest weekends on the Vegas sports calendar. Nowhere has that energy been more noticeable than at Circa Resort & Casino. It has become a gathering place for supporters of nearly every nation, with fans waving flags, chanting together, and celebrating the games from morning until night.

A global sporting event deserves a world-class place to watch, and Circa’s three-story sportsbook has been one of the hottest tickets in town. Between World Cup matches, fans have also packed in to catch the NBA Finals, including actors Jimmy O. Yang and Oscar Isaac, who are in Las Vegas filming The Roman, executive produced by Martin Scorsese. The pair were spotted taking in the action alongside Circa Owner and CEO Derek Stevens.

For fans looking to elevate the experience, the Legacy Club has delivered one of the best views in the city. Sixty floors above downtown, guests gathered to watch Mexico face South Korea while overlooking the Las Vegas skyline. Among them was popular creator Luis Comunica, who hosted an exclusive watch party with his tequila brand, Gran Malo, bringing together Spanish-speaking influencers and content creators from across the country. Between selfies, livestreams, and celebrations after Mexico found the back of the net, the rooftop felt like one of the most talked-about World Cup parties in town. The celebration didn’t stop there. During halftime, Luis and his team made their way to Mega Bar for a tequila flair show featuring Gran Malo before meeting Derek Stevens to toast Mexico’s opening goal. It was another reminder that in Las Vegas, watching the match is only part of the experience.

The week also brought another memorable celebration downtown. Baseball legend Barry Bonds reserved a private dining room at Barry’s Downtown Prime to celebrate his daughter Aisha Bonds’ engagement to Josh Richter. Family and friends gathered for dinner before heading to Legacy Club, where the newly engaged couple was surprised with a custom presentation, illuminated signage, and a champagne toast overlooking the city lights. It’s hard to imagine a more fitting Las Vegas engagement celebration.

Also seen dining at Barry’s over the weekend was former UFC strawweight champion Joanna Jędrzejczyk, who enjoyed dinner with her sisters and family after walking the restaurant’s signature red carpet.

Las Vegas may not have landed World Cup matches this year, but the city has still become one of the country’s premier destinations to experience the tournament. Whether fans are cheering from Stadium Swim, the world’s largest sportsbook or a rooftop overlooking downtown, the atmosphere has proven once again that Las Vegas knows how to turn every major sporting event into something unforgettable. For locals, it’s been another reminder that this has become one of the best sports cities anywhere.
