Local Fish & Chips Joint The Codfather Reopens in Las Vegas
One of the best spots for fish and chips in Las Vegas — amusingly named restaurant The Codfather — is returning to the Valley.
Las Vegas is known for having incredible seafood buffets and other high-end seafood restaurants, including some local contenders headed by celebrity chefs. However, sometimes all you want (or need) is a simple, inexpensive order of fish and chips.
To that end, The Codfather has you covered. The environment and menu are simple and utilitarian, but the restaurant is well-known for having the best fish and chips in Las Vegas.
The Codfather may not be fancy, but the food will certainly strike your fancy. This restaurant serves up perfectly crispy battered pieces of fried cod, which you can dress with lemon wedges, malt vinegar, or tangy tartar sauce.
If cod isn’t up your valley, The Codfather also serves fried haddock, catfish, and even fried vegan protein. As you might expect from an authentic British-style restaurant, there are also pea fritters, Sheffield fish cake, and clam chowder.
According to Eater Las Vegas, the restaurant is returning to 2895 North Green Valley Parkway after closing in July. Compared to the previous location, the new outpost for fish and chips features booth seating, a new lounge area, a big patio space, and a pub-style bar.
The Codfather is open from 1 p.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday. It is closed on Sunday and Monday.
